First Look: 2012 Kawasaki KX450F?

Due to the devastating earthquake and tsunami wave in Japan, the MFJ canceled theĀ  All Japan National Championship Motocross Series opener, originally scheduled for April 3 in Kumamoto, Japan. This is the factory Kawasaki SR450F that factory rider Hiroaki Arai was set to contest. According to information from Kawasaki Japan, the race bike is based on the production 2011 bike, but is outfitted with some special parts. Most notably, the bodywork is all new. Though factory race teams often run different suspension components, it’s worth noting that Arai’s bike is outfitted with works Showa components. If the US trend is any indication, we’re betting that they are of the SFF (seperate function fork) design.

There is no word yet on when the All Japan series will get underway.
