A couple weeks ago, we reported that the Lake Elsinore Motocross Park’s operating permit was up for renewal, and that the track operators needed riders to show their support by e-mailing the Lake Elsinore City Hall.
Anyone who’s been around the sport for a while knows that any time you combine MX track, permit, and City Hall in the same sentence, the outcome often isn’t good. Things sounded grim.
Fortunately, the final outcome turned out to be a lot more positive. The Lake Elsinore Planning Commission re-issued a permit allowing continued operation of the 95-acre park for at least five more years, which is great news for riders at one of So. Cal’s favorite practice zones.
