Red Bull KTM’s Josh Woods took the overall win in the 2004 AMA Thundercross Championship Series as he went 1-1 in the final race.
Josh rode a 2005 KTM 450 SX in the five round series. He won the series by sweeping the opening round held at Budds Creek, Maryland; followed by overall wins at Casey, Illinois and the final held in Bremen, Georgia.
The Flint, Michigan native said, “This has been a great series for me! The new KTM 450 SX was just awesome! I was able to pull a lot of holeshots and that made it possible to win the series. I had great support from KTM and I’m not sure if I could ask for more.
Motorsports Marketing Manager, Ron Heben said, “Josh has had a difficult year. He’s been plagued with on-going injuries, but he’s always remained positive and optimistic. I’m really happy for him. He deserves this championship, and KTM is glad that we could help along the way. We wish him well with his new racing team.
