Sobe / Samsung Mobile / Honda’s Kevin Windham was undergoing his last few days of scheduled testing before the holiday break when hit the dirt hard Wednesday. His front end washed out on a just-watered section of the Honda practice track in Corona, CA, and unfortunately, the result was a compound fracture of both bones in his lower left arm. The good news is that the breaks were clean, and while he’s currently in surgery to repair them with plates and screws, he’s expected to make a full recovery.
Until surgery is complete, there’s no word yet on the when he might return to action, though there’s no doubt that he’ll be missing in action when the AMA Supercross class lines up on the gate at Anaheim on January 7th.
We’d like to wish Kevin a full and speedy recovery.
