McGrath Raises $6400 For Clear Channel Relief Fund

Seven-time supercross champion Jeremy McGrath teamed up with the THQ U.S. Open and raised $6,400 in t-shirt sales, October 12-14 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena and will donate the proceeds to the Clear Relief Fund. At the THQ U.S. Open, McGrath had a special, collector’s item t-shirt, designed specifically for the United States and the this event. McGrath, who finished second overall at the THQ U.S. Open, showed his true American colors, as he donned red, white and blue gear and a custom-painted American flag helmet.In addition, Freestyle Motocross legend Mike Jones donated his winnings of $3,500 at the Tacoma round of the Vans Triple Crown of Freestyle Motocross to the Clear Relief Fund.In light of our nation’s tragedies, Clear Channel is hoping to use entertainment to begin the healing process and will look to its other performances in the weeks to come to continue building this relief fund. Clear Channel Entertainment-promoted artists and athletes that have contributed to the fund include Janet Jackson, the Back Street Boys, Lynyrd Skynyrd, James Taylor, Earth Wind and Fire, Sade, Maxwell, the Pittsburgh Penguins, X-Games champion and 125cc Eastern Regional Supercross champion Travis Pastrana, and now Jeremy McGrath and Mike Jones. Clear Channel Radio announced today that their relief fund exceeds $11,000,000.
