Mixtape With Jimmy Albertson

Jimmy Albertson is by far one of the most outgoing riders on the gate, with his colorful sense of humor and lighthearted attitude. We grabbed “Top Jimmy” for this installment of Mixtape, and his Spotify playlist sounds like something a classic rock DJ would come up with. Check it…

I am a huge fan when it comes to music. I grew up listening with my Dad to a lot of Led Zeppelin, CCR, the Stones, The Beatles, and all that stuff. I think that reminds me of growing up. I am really into music and I play the guitar a little bit. It is one of those things where there are only a few types I don't like. I don't like the new stuff that is coming out, it's too techno-y and computerized. It's not a person with an instrument.

I've only been to one concert in my whole life I think, just because you don't have much time to do anything else as a motocross rider. But I constantly listen to music when I am doing something, with all the training and the driving.

A great thing that has come out in the last couple of years is Pandora radio. That's the most killer thing; you just kick back and put your favorite station on driving down the road.

Sometimes before I ride I listen to music, and it's usually something slow. I'm into fast music and I listen to a lot of punk stuff, but I want something chilled out like Mumford and Sons to relax me a bit. Plane trips or driving on the road, I can't stand to listen to upbeat music because it almost wears me out (Laughs).
