As the Nationals take a two-weekend break, it’s time for everyone to take a step back before the stretch that will place pressure on racers and their teams. To help wind down, a handful of riders hit the 14th annual Surfercross. The two-day event took place on Thursday at Lucas Oil MX Park in Perris, CA, before migrating to the coast for Friday’s portion at at Trail Six at San Onofre Beach.

Muscle Milk TWMX Race Series – Summer Cup Round Three – Lake Elsinore

Lake Elsinore Motorsports park hosted round three of the Muscle Milk TWMX Race Series Summer Cup. The venue, which will host the final round of the Nationals in September, was filled with Southern California's amateur racers. To entice pro riders off the couch, a 200% payback and 20-minute motos were added for the Open Pro Class.

After numerous issues with his personal bike, Nick Paluzzi grabbed Swap's 2013 Kawasaki 450 for his motos.

Austin Politelli scored another paycheck with his 1-1 finishes in the Open Pro class.

In addition to his win, Austin grabbed the $100 holeshot award in the second moto.

Trent Pugmire dashed to the line in the first moto to claim the holeshot bonus.

We caught PJ Larsen at the Lake Elsinore round of the Muscle Milk TWMX Race Series. Although he was not riding on Sunday, he is expected to get clearance from his doctors this week.

After months off the bike, Chad Reed is itching to get back on the bike. While at the Shift offices, Reedy sat down in front of the camera and talked about recovery, how he has spent his downtime, and his newborn daughter.

No theme to GoPro’s coverage of Washougal, just racing.

Kim McGrath Finds Marrow Donor

@jeremymcgrath2 Here it is, new life. This is the bag of Bone Marrow, it is going now! Thanks everyone for your support, you guys have been amazing.

Los Angeles, CA (July 27, 2012 ) – While at the Summer 2012 X Games, pulling TV for ESPN and doing requisite media, Jeremy McGrath announced,
that thanks in great part to the efforts of Be The Match and its Registry, his wife Kim has found a marrow donor.

Surviving breast cancer two years ago, in May of this year, Kim McGrath was diagnosed with Leukemia. Her treatment – immediate chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant.
Quickly, Jeremy and Kim moved into action: Kim — undergoing chemo and enduring month long hospital stays and Jeremy – spearheading close to 40 marrow drives and fundraisers. Results — More than 4,000 people tested for possible inclusion within the Registry and more than a quarter of a million dollars raised.

As Kim rests at home in preparation for her marrow transplant, within the next few days, Jeremy had this to add, “First, thank you again to everyone who has helped, donated, gotten tested and sent well wishes to our family. Your responses to my initial call to action have been incredible and the support and love just seems to continue. The fact that Kim found a match is really great news for us! But it is our hope that people will still get tested and join the Be The Match Registry. I would also ask that companies that have charitable donation programs and those in the position to do something, please think about making a donation to Be The Match at any time throughout the year. This organization provides a service that literally saves lives every day of the year…it’s pretty amazing.”

In an effort to raise more awareness and more funds, McGrath will be donating his portion of the download profits from his new video game, Jeremy McGrath Offroad, released just a few weeks ago, to BeThe You can download a copy NOW on XBox Live or PS3.

Well wishes can be sent directly to Kim at the Team Kim facebook page or visit for more information on Be The Match.
