Muscle Milk TWMX Race Series SoCal Fall Cup 2013: Milestone MX
The 2013 Muscle Milk TWMX Race Series SoCal Fall Cup landed at Milestone MX this past Sunday, and while the Riverside track normally delivers some of the best racing action of the year with great turnouts in all classes, a record number of entries poured through the gates for the second round of the final Southern California series of the year. 600-plus racers of all ages and skill levels participated in an excellent day of racing, and with great companies like Muscle Milk, ONE Industries, Leatt, etnies, ODI, and Thousand Oaks Powersports all on hand to take part in the action, you couldn’t go wrong.
Milestone MX played host to the second stop of the five-round TWMXRS SoCal Fall Cup, and as the morning progressed we saw that the day will be packed with nonstop racing action under the two track format after over 600 racers signed up to participate.
KTM’s Orange Brigade showed up to battle in several classes, and pro racing veterans Mike Sleeter (Murrieta, CA) and Robbie Marshall (Australia) brought their usual speed which helped them finish first and second in 30-Plus Pro. Sleeter also competed in 250F Pro where he finished a close second behind Bryce Stewart.
ONE Industries’ Ian Runyon didn’t venture out to Milestone to only showcase ONE’s 2014 product line and provide kids with stickers and opportunities to win numerous items throughout the day—Ian also brought his bike and his A game to race in the 30-Plus Amateur class.
Before the first moto of the day got underway, hundreds of racers began to line up in the rider staging area behind the start gates.
Having over 600 entries made for tight racing in each class, and it also kept the entire track crew and race series staff on their toes to ensure the day went smoothly under the two track format.
You never know who will show up to race the TWMXRS, and this time the very fast Tyler Villopoto was amongst the Pro Open entries at Milestone, where he stole first place finishes in both motos.
