This weekend, Milestone MX Park was completely overrun by families, fans and racers alike for the fourth round of the TWMXRS So-Cal Spring Cup. Motorhomes, trailers and pickup trucks all packed themselves into the facility raring to get the festivities-that is the racing-going. Milestone MX has quite a unique type of soil. It usually starts the day on the loamy side, but add a couple hundred racers to the mix like this weekend and the once perfect ground turns to a rough and edgy landscape.

Some great vendors came out to round four of the Spring Cup supplying racers with the necessary goods for a race day. Yamaha headed out and brought along the Thousand Oaks box van filled with tons of products. They had everything from tires, to stands, to gear bags. Not to mention technical support for Yamaha riders and dirt cheap prices for the race day specials on a 2013 YZ450F and a 2013 YZ85. Etnies shoes, once again, had everyones helmets and bikes covered in stickers and Asterisk had everyone raving about their new Cell knee braces. ODI Grips showed up as well displaying and selling a ton of commodities, also.

Yamaha of Thousand Oaks came through round four and was a major help by supplying riders with parts, technical support and huge savings on a couple of 2013 bikes.

A few members of the Muscle Milk crew kept everybody hydrated and energized throughout the day with free chocolate Muscle Milks.

With that said, lets get to the racing! It seems the deeper we get into each series, the more top shelf amateurs sign up. Nick Bernabe grabbed a bunch of great starts this weekend and eventually went home with an overall in 250C. Yamaha rider Ryan Surratt and KTM mounted Cody Baker put on a total clinic this weekend. Surratt completely swept 250B as well as Schoolboy(thru 17) going home with two first place finishes and Cody Baker finished up the same way by winning both motos in 450B and Open(non-pro). In the Pro classes, it was Sean Lipanovich taking the overall win in 250A. Much like his “B” class counterparts, Fredrik Noren completely dominated 450A and Pro open taking the “W” in both classes.

Cody Baker, aboard his KTM, was the man to beat in 450B and Open non-pro. Baker won every moto for every class he entered this weekend.

Ryan Surratt was another guy on a mission this weekend sweeping 250B and Schoolboy thru 17.

Sweden’s Fredrik Noren was hands down the fastest guy this weekend. Noren went 1-1 in both 450A and Pro-open.

We hope to see you at double-header rounds five and six of the Muscle Milk TWMX Race Series So-Cal Spring Cup, which will be held May 18th and 19th at Competitive Edge MX Park.
