Muscle Milk/TWMX Race Series Fall Cup 2012: Perris Raceway

Round three of the Muscle Milk/TWMX Fall Cup invaded California’s oldest motocross track, Perris Raceway. The southern California based motocross track has been host to previous Muscle Milk/ TWMX rounds and each one, like this weekend’s, has had a tremendous turnout of entries. So, with a packed house and enough sign-ups to fill 18 motos for a total of 36 races on the day, it was time to get things started.

Some of the race series sponsors were on deck this weekend amidst vendor’s row displaying some of their new products and selling goods at closeout prices. One Industries, who is always helping bikes and riders look their best, was having a giveaway of their new Vapor gear and the always present Bell Helmets team was kind enough to let racers test out their Moto-9 helmet during their motos. The well-known Factory Connection crew made their presence known in vendor’s row by offering free bike set up and technical support, while Leatt-Brace, who always has one of the bigger spots on vendor row due to the amount of goods they have available to racers, was hooking up riders with the proper protective riding gear.

A set of One Industries Vapor gear was being given away in a drawing for one lucky rider.

The guys at Factory Connection made their way out to round three of the Fall Cup to help racers with bike set up and technical support absolutely free of charge.

When the racing got underway, it was clear that the Novice, Intermediate and Pro classes wouldn’t be a disappointment. Each of these classes had an immense amount of riders, especially the Novice class which had the most amount of entries. Zac Commans would go 1-1 on the day for the overall in 250B with Axel Hodges followed in second and Max Sisco in third. Moto 1 of 450B would see Dean Spangler taking the win, but problems in moto 2 would cause him to DNF and the overall would go to Wesley Parker who finished with a 3-1. In moto 1 of 250A, Adam Cianciarulo would finish with the win, but problems in moto 2 would set him back to seventh place for fourth overall. Matt Bisceglia capitalized on AC’s mistake to capture the overall win with Andrew Silverstein in second and Conor Stouff finishing in third. 450A was swept by Mitch Van De Mortel who took both moto victories, while Justin Jones would finish right behind Van De Mortel in second overall and Jessie Huntley would round out the top three.

Zac Commans swept both motos in 250 intermediate.

Matt Bisceglia made his presence known by taking the overall win in 250A.

Mitch Ven De Mortel also made a clean sweep of his classes in 450A. Not to mention he’s on a bike that’s a few years old.

Some amazing racing went down at round three of the Muscle Milk/TWMX Fall Cup and we hope to see you at round four which will be hosted by Cahuilla Creek MX Park on November 11th. Check out the photos below for some of the action.
