Southern California’s historic Glen Helen Raceway was host to round three of the Muscle Milk TWMX Race Series Winter Cup. Nearly every prior Glen Helen round has been run during a type of intense weather, be it unbearable heat or bone-chilling low temps, but this weekend’s sunny skies and a cool breeze were a pleasant change. As expected, Glen Helen delivered what it’s best known for: ruts, chop, and speed, which required a racer’s every skill.

There were a few new additions to vendors row, as Asterisk was on hand to unveil their latest release, the Cyto Cell knee brace.. The crew from Hookit through to showcase their new application for smart phones, which helps athletes manage their sponsors on the go. Riders have come to expect the continuous support from One Industries, etnies, and EKS Brand Goggles, and all three once again set up camp at Glen Helen.

Asterisk has long been the leader in motocross knee brace and continually innovate the market. Their latest product, the Cyto Cell, gives riders premium protection at an entry-level price.

The Muscle Milk TWMX Race Series is becoming known for its ability to draw So.Cal’s fastest amateur riders to the line, and this weekend was no different. Tyler Enticknap, Justin Hoeft, Dylan Merriam, and Cody Gibson flocked to Glen Helen and set the pace in their respective classes. Enticknap swept the 450A class, but a 1-3 finish would put him third overall in Pro Open. Hoeft and Merriam diced through every 250B moto, with Hoeft taking the overall with a 2-1 scores, while Merriam ranked second overall with a 1-2 finishes. Merriam was again edged out of the overall win in the 450B class, as Connor Pearson took the win with a 2-1 finish winning over Merriam. Austin Waltor swept the 250C ranks, and Cody Gibson did the same in the against his 450C competition.

Cody Gibson put on a clinic in the 450C class, going 1-1 for the day.

Justin Hoeft was Dylan Merriam battled for supremacy in the 250 Intermediate class, but Hoeft was able to make a crucial pass in moto 2 for the overall.
