What It Is
The FMF Snap is a simple, bolt-on accessory that is designed to improve throttle response and boost low- to midrange power. Made of sheet metal, the Snap is inserted into the airbox where it decreases air turbulence between the air filter and EFI throttle body.
– The Snap is simple to install! We installed ours at the track- in between motos- in less than 10 minutes.
– From the second we fired the bike up, throttle response was noticeably more crisp and instantaneous.
– No EFI fuel map changes were necessary. Low-end power was boosted, and the engine character was more aggressive, right off idle. No losses of midrange or top-end power.
– In the case of the 2013 Kawasaki KX450F, what it really needs is more top-end over-rev, and the Snap does not help at high rpm.
To be honest, we were pretty skeptical when we installed the Snap. How could such a simple looking product produce measurable results? We were pleasantly surprised, however, and quite pleased with the results that the Snap provides. At only a hundred bucks, the Snap is the most affordable piece of bolt-on power-boosting equipment available.
