Swap was nosing through his brother’s camera (Ross Maeda of Enzo Racing), and came across these photos of Yamaha of Troy’s Nick Wey testing new suspension components on his new Yamaha YZ450F.

The team’s title sponsors and graphic schemes have yet to be finalized, so for now, Wey is still riding a stock-looking 2009 Yamaha YZ450F. On this day, Wey was testing several different set ups with the Enzo Racing crew: fork and shock settings, a rear shock subtank, triple clamps, and (gasp) steering dampers!

Wey in action at the Supercross track that he, Jake Weimer and Ryan Villopoto lease from Adam Chatfield at the MX Oasis in Beaumont, California. Enzo’s Maeda reports that Wey looks, “smooth and fast aboard his new cobalt blue steed.”

Here’s a closer look at the Enzo Racing Technica Subtank, which is designed to help improve rear wheel traction and help with sharp impact bump absorption. Wey affectionately refers to it as, “The Plush Bomb.” Jason Lawrence’s YZ250F will soon be outfitted with the same setup.
