INDIANAPOLIS, March 3, 2006 ¿ What happens when one of  Supercross racing’s hottest teams hooks up with one of the most versatile Personal Multimedia devices on the market?  Find out Friday as Team Boo-Koo riders and the LYRA X3000 by RCA combine to present fans with an all-new slant on the racing experience.  Thomson’s RCA brand is an Associate Sponsor of Holigan Racing’s Team Boo-Koo.

The event is 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Indianapolis retailer H.H. Gregg on 96th Street near Keystone.  The Friday event is the kickoff for Saturday’s Supercross event at the RCA Dome where gates open at 12:30 p.m. and the Main Event is scheduled to begin at 10 p.m..

At H.H. Gregg, Team Boo-Koo riders #12 David Vuillemin and #141 Steve Boniface will be on hand to hang with fans while Thomson representatives demonstrate the LYRA X3000, the portable entertainment device engineered for the real speed of sound.  Attendees can test drive the X3000 and register for a chance to join Team Boo-Koo in the pits at the Saturday race.

“The Friday event includes a remote radio broadcast featuring WRZX103FM personalities Stuck and Gunner along with appearances from Team Boo-Koo crew members and the fabulous Boo-Koo girls,” said Thomson’s Sean Sharpe, Manager of Product Marketing for the LYRA X3000.  “Along with product demos, we’ll give away 10 X3000 units to lucky listeners who tune in to the broadcast.”

The X3000 is a pocket-size Personal Multimedia Recorder that enables the direct recording of audio and video content from multiple sources without using a computer.  The device provides an array of recording options.  Using an included home theater docking base, consumers can easily record audio and video directly from an external source such as analog TV, DVD player, CD player or camcorder.  The X3000 stores up to 80 hours of pre-recorded video or thousands of mp3 song titles.

A convenient X3000 feature for racing fans is timer recording ¿ you can set the device to record a Supercross event while attending the race, then play back highlights later.  Or, personal racing photos can be developed into a slide-show with audio commentary provided by the consumer with the device’s microphone and voice labeling feature.
