Scottsdale, AZ– The Road 2 Recovery Foundation announced today its inaugural celebrity poker tournament at MGM Grand in Las Vegas to be held Thursday, Oct. 6. The tournament coincides with the U.S. Open of Supercross held Oct. 7-9 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
The tournament will allow participants to sit at a table with a celebrity or a Supercross hero and compete for a spot in the 2006 World Series of Poker. Additional prizes will be awarded through twentieth place. Celebrities scheduled to appear include Jeremy McGrath, Chad Reed and Travis Pastrana.
Space in the tournament is limited to 220 players on a first-come, first-served basis. The entry fee is $250 per person and event and table sponsorships also are available. For additional information on tournament participation or sponsorships, go to www.road2recovery.com.

A collection of the greatest motocross athletes from arenacross and supercross will chase the $100,000 first-place prize over the two days of racing. The famed U.S. Open has seen five different winners in the seven previous years. They include 2003 and 2004 Champion Chad Reed, Mike LaRocco, Ricky Carmichael, Jeff Emig and Damon Huffman.
Other attractions during the weekend will include the Four Stroke Race, 80cc Mini Invitational, Freestyle Motocross, 50cc Mini Challenge and 125cc Manufacturer’s Cup. On Sunday, Oct. 9, the fourth annual Amateur Arenacross World Finals will be staged.”
