United States Air Force Sponsors AMA National Arenacross Series’ FMX Air Show

AMA National Arenacross Series’ intermission show gets big boost from USAF

AURORA, Ill., (Oct. 24, 2005) -- Clear Channel Entertainment’s Motor Sports division announced today that the AMA National Arenacross Series’ highly popular freestyle motocross (FMX) exhibition -- which runs during the intermission of every AMA National Arenacross Series race – will be flying the colors (literally) of the United States Air Force for 2005 & ’06.

Performed by a select group of core freestyle riders, some of which also will be on the floor racing in the Arenacross and Arenacross Lites divisions, the USAF Freestyle Exhibition is sure to keep fans glued to the action on the floor in between the evening’s qualifiers and main events. Backed by the inventors of “Airtime, the United States Air Force, the USAF Freestyle Exhibition will feature the high flying antics of freestyle greats such as “Revin’ Kevin Johnson, “Rocket Rob Lewis and Willie “220 Watts.

“Flying the United States Air Force’s colors above our fans’ heads in arenas across the nation will give the USAF a great opportunity to reach out to influence young, athletic, mechanically inclined young men -- the fans that not only represent the backbone of the sport of AMA National Arenacross Series, but are also a demographic very well suited regarding the interests of the USAF’s recruitment strategy, said Todd Jendro, senior director of operations for Clear Channel Entertainment’s Motorsports division. “We are excited about this sponsorship opportunity with the USAF and look forward to growing our relationship with them this year and in the future.
