Weather Update for Round 1 of AMA Western 4-Stroke Nationals

Weather Update for Round #1 – AMA Western 4-Stroke National Motocross Series at Speedworld MX Park in Surprise, Arizona

The Arizona rains stopped at 3:30 AM (Friday) and AMA Western 4-Stroke Nationals series organizer Don Schneider is currently at The Best Western Inn in Youngtown, Arizona, which is 8 miles from the Speedworld MX Park. Schneider says, “I am here to tell you all, riders, mechanics, friends and fans, the sun is coming through the WHITE clouds and the pavement is 90% dry. I spoke to track promoter Dan Matthews at 10:00 AM (Mountain Time) live from the track and the wash basin is still draining really well. “There is no standing water probably because we had the main track prepped Tuesday and Wednesday – disked up deeply.”

Mr. Matthews went on to say, “We cancelled the practice session today (Friday) so we can make sure the National Track will be ready for the Amateur Day tomorrow. So, tell everyone to bring it on – Especially the Pro’s, it’s going to be a perfect weekend after all”.
