#WhipItWednesday: Anaheim I

While tensions were high and nerves were up at the first round of Monster Energy Supercross last weekend in Anaheim, California, plenty of whips were thrown throughout the day as riders grew comfortable and confident on the Angel Stadium track.
It’s no surprise that Josh Hansen was throwing fatties at his first race back in a couple years. Hansen has some of the dirtiest whips in the game, which is why he brought home X Games Best Whip gold back in 2013.
When Red Bull KTM’s Justin Hill took to the track during practice at Monster Energy Cup last October, camera shutters clicked ferociously as the young rider sent his bike sideways lap after lap over the course’s massive triple. The spectacle landed Hill on the poster of our January issue and commanded our photographers’ full attention whenever the number 32 KTM was in action at Anaheim I.
You can’t dead sailor a finish line when the checkered flag is waiving and you just won the opening round of Supercross, so it was only fitting that RCH Racing’s newest rider delivered this one-handed celebratory whip after bringing home the team’s first-ever win.
