Monies will benefit the Asterisk Mobile Medical Unit and Motor Racing Outreach (MRO)
Anaheim, Calif. , (February 23, 2004) — The Women’s Auxiliary of Motocross/Supercross announced details of the Jason Ciarletta Memorial Fund today.
Jason Ciarletta was a 19-year-old professional supercross racer whose life was tragically cut short in a fatal crash at the San Diego Supercross on January 24th. Ciarletta’s family has been working with the Women’s Auxiliary of Motocross/Supercross to establish guidelines for a memorial fund in his honor.
“The Ciarletta Family has decided that donations from the Jason Ciarletta Memorial Fund will benefit the Asterisk Mobile Medical Unit and Motor Racing Outreach (MRO). All monies collected will be split equally between the two organizations, said the auxiliary’s Co-President, Sharon Richards. “The family feels that these two organizations can benefit most from donations to the fund. We’re all hoping to raise a lot of money to enhance the missions of both organizations.
The Jason Ciarletta Memorial Fund is a one-time fund. All proceeds from the fund will be presented to the recipient organizations at the supercross banquet in May.
