The run of offseason European Supercross races continued over the weekend with the 2015 Genova SX in Italy. A frenzied crowd packed into the Palasport di Genova for one night of racing across numerous classes, with the majority of the attention being directed at the pro SX and Lites (250) ranks. A number of American racers made the voyage for the event, with two riders claiming top honors in the SX class and "all together" King of Genova SuperFinal.

Justin Brayton set the pace early in the day with the fastest practice laps and win in the first of two feature races. A crash struck the BTO Sports KTM rider in the second moto and regulated him to an eleventh place finish, which impacted his overall finish in the SX class standings and resulted in a fourth place ranking. Undeterred by the issue, Brayton bounced back and dominated the SuperFinal (fourteen-lap dash of combined SX and Lites riders) by over six seconds. This is the third time Brayton has been crowned King of Genova (previous wins came in 2009 and 2012).

Consistency through both of the feature races was the key to Cooper Webb's success in the overall results. The Yamalube/Star Racing/Yamaha rider put in 2-1 finishes through the intense twelve-lap motos and claimed the class victory. A pair of third place rides put RCH/Soaring Eagle/Jimmy John's/Suzuki Factory Racing's Broc Tickle second overall for the class, while 450 rookie Justin Bogle claimed third on his GEICO Honda.

Frenchman Dylan Ferrandis has shown plenty of Supercross skill despite a rather limited history with the discipline of the sport. The Monster Energy CLS Kawasaki rider kept pace with the American riders throughout the day in qualifying and racing (he finished fourth in both SX races), and was rewarded with a fifth place overall finish. Ferrandis kept close to Brayton in the early laps of the SuperFinal until he crashed in the whoops and dropped to fourth place.

Rockstar Energy Suzuki's Brian Hsu claimed victory in the Lites class, as he edged Dutch rider Nick Kouwenberg for the win over the course of the ten-lap main event. Hsu had spent the week leading up to the event riding with Justin Brayton at his track in Italy.
