The second round of the 2015 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship made its way down south to one of the most historic tracks in Southern California: Glen Helen. Rain had attacked the track overnight, and heading into the morning, a light drizzle kept the dirt moist. Early practice sessions left riders caked in mud as the moisture was slowly worked deeper into the dirt and off the track, but because the sun had been absent most of the day, the dirt never got hard, which was unusual for Glen Helen, especially this time of year. Most riders have their bikes set up for the rough, square-edged chop that is usually abundant at Glen Helen, but that never came. So, that made things quite interesting, as the conditions just kept evolving throughout the day.
As we mentioned before, this Monday Kickstart is aimed at the news that surrounded the pits over the weekend, and another Kickstart-style post will be published later on in the week, which will have more shenanigans.
