Round three of the 2015 Transworld Motocross West Coast Open can now be crossed off from the list of the seven round series. Milestone MX was host to the third round and boy was it a hot one! Temperatures in the mid 90s quickly swept through the Riverside area, but that didn't stop hundreds and hundreds of anxious racers from having a fun day of racing. A second parking lot was almost necessary for this weekend's event, as the facility was literally jam packed with some of Southern California's finest riders.
As racers and spectators flooded the parking lot, so did the race series vendors. The EKS Brand Goggles family was on hand dishing out everything from tear-offs and goggles to hats and grips. One Industries brought out their rig and a few sets of gear and helmets from their newest line. Also, Next Components, 1.7 Cleaning Solutions, Matrix Concepts and Atlas Neck Braces had all the goodies; bike stands, loading ramps, soaps and cleaners, tie-downs and neck braces were just a few of the great products they had for sale.
On the track, there was plenty of action to keep everyone entertained. Riders like Bradley Taft, Ciaran Naran, Tyler Churchill, Steven Tokarski and Garrett Allen were on absolute rails all day, as they all laid down blistering lap times. Allen was a multiple moto winner as the Yamaha ripper rode to an overall in 250B and scored a moto win in 450B. Churchill emerged the victor in 450B with a 2-1 score for the overall and another overall in Open (Non-Pro). Fresh off an injury, young ripper Naran was the guy to beat in Schoolboy (Thru 17), as he rode to a perfect 1-1 for the overall and a second overall in 250B just behind Allen. Taft, another Yamaha rider, was another impressive rider this weekend. The 961 machine completely swept both Pro-Open motos for the overall and Tokarski, yet another Yamaha ripper, did the same, as he rode to a perfect score of 1-1 in 450 Pro.
Tons on incredible racing action was had at round three of the 2015 West Coast Open. We hope to see you at round four, which will be held at Perris Raceway on June 21. See you there!
