Noah McConahy has posted an update following his 250 Main Event crash at the 2017 Seattle SX. The 51Fifty Energy Yamaha rider went down in the early laps of the feature with multiple riders, and the medical attention necessary required a red flag and full restart of the race. McConanhy posted an update on Instagram and said that he suffered a badly broken L5 vertebra that will require surgery, but there is no damage to his spinal cord or other body parts.

McConahy started the season with the JMC Husqvarna crew but jumped to 51Fifty Energy Yamaha when Tyler Bowers was taken out by a fractured femur and the team recently announced that he would finish out the SX season aboard the blue bikes.
