Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider Adam Cianciarulo had a very hard crash in the final Timed Qualifying session at the 2018 Anaheim Two Supercross. Cianciarulo made a mistake in the long rhythm lane that filled the infield of the track and the resulting crash sent his KX250F flying down the track. The Alpinestars Mobile Medical crew were soon at his side and helped him off of the track to the medical cart. At the time, we were concerned that Cianciarulo would not be able to line up for the race, despite his second place rank in the overall 250 class qualifying results.
We’ve reached out to the team and learned that although Cianciarulo was shaken up by the wreck, he intends to race the night show at the 2018 Anaheim Two Supercross. We will update this as more information becomes available.
UPDATE 6:46 PM | We spoke with Cianciarulo’s father, Alan, about the crash. The bike hit a false neutral on the face of the jump and started the crash. Cianciarulo hurt his neck and had a “dead leg” sensation in both legs. He will race the night’s main events.
