The qualifying sessions have concluded at the 2018 Glen Helen Motocross, the second round of the 2018 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. Early morning cloud cover and some precipitation resulted in a heavy track for the qualifying sessions, but riders were able to sling their way through the slop for fast laps.

Justin Cooper is out to prove that he can live up to the preseason talks from the practice tracks. The Monster Energy/Yamalube/Star/Yamaha Factory Racing rider set the pace in the morning’s first 250 A Group session, before the wet weather moved in and slowed the track down. Although some of his competition improved their times in the second outing, Cooper’s 2:37.337 held as the best lap of the small-bore division.

Jason Anderson found something on the track in the second practice. The Rockstar Energy Racing Husqvarna rider cut nearly two seconds from his lap times from session one to session two and the 2:37.156 time was the best of the class.
