Timed qualifying has just come to a close at the 2018 High Point Motocross, the fourth round of the 2018 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. After the opening stint of motos on the West Coast, this trip to Southern Pennsylvania marks the first true “East Coast” round of the series. As usual, the heavy clay of High Point quickly turned into a technical route around the hillsides and riders had to balance speed and technique through the deep ruts. Have a look at the lap times to see how the field shook out in the morning sessions.
2018 HIGH POINT MOTOCROSS | 250 CLASS QUALIFYING REPORT
RJ Hampshire set the pace in the first practice session with a 1:58.463 lap time on his GEICO Honda. For much of the morning it seemed like the time was going to hold as, especially as the track became more rutted and challenging, but at the final moments of the second session, Jeremy Martin upped the pace and claimed the top spot with a 1:58.370 on his GEICO Honda.
2018 HIGH POINT MOTOCROSS | 450 CLASS QUALIFYING REPORT
