Dean Wilson has made the decision to sit out the 2018 Houston Supercross due to the shoulder injury he suffered one week ago. The Rockstar Energy Racing Husqvarna rider went down in his Heat Race at the 2018 Anaheim One Supercross and suffered a list of injuries to his shoulder, including a contusion to the shoulder, a strained rotator cuff, bone and muscle bruising, and a sprained wrist.
Wilson spent his week in therapy and attempted to ride Friday’s press session, all of which led to this decision. Wilson said he will undergo more therapy this week in hopes to race the 2018 Anaheim Two Supercross next weekend.
Tough pill to swallow but I won't be lining up today. I Just don't feel I have the strength to race and wouldn't want to put myself or anyone else in danger. Really bummed but hopefully I will be feeling a lot better next weekend with another full week of therapy. thanks for sticking with me. – – – @husqvarna_usa @rockstarhusky @shiftmx @foxracing @ethika @iamspecialized @rideshimano @ctikneebraces @mohead25 @ridecalifornia @tgardea @tylarattray @krause328 📷- @hoodrichmedia
