2018 MOTOCROSS OF NATIONS | COMPLETE COVERAGE

The ballot draw to determine gate picks for the Saturday qualifying motos at the 2018 Motocross of Nations is complete! On Saturday morning Tony Skillington, the CMS Director for FIM’s motocross division, was joined by two Monster Energy models as they pulled capsules that contained countries and numbers out of two boxes, a random process that ensures no favoritism to one country over another. Guatemala fared best in the process with the number one gate pick while the host country of the United States got the second gate pick, a huge improvement over years past for the American riders. Four-time and defending champion nation France will go to the line eighth as incoming contenders the Netherlands will have the twenty-first selection.

Qualifying motos begin on Saturday afternoon and will twenty minutes plus two laps. The combined scores of teams from the Saturday motos will determine qualification and gate pick for Sunday’s motos.
