Qualifying has just concluded at the 2018 RedBud Motocross, the seventh round of the 2018 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. The morning sessions were spent learning the Michigan track and for some, finding the courage to conquer the massive obstacles that are everywhere on the layout. After the sweltering heat and humidity at Southwick, the July weather in a rather cool 80 degrees. But enough about that, so here’s what happened on the track…

Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/KTM rider Shane McElrath clocked the quickest time of the 250 class, a 2:05.135, and was the only rider in his class under the 2:06 time.

The fastest lap of the morning was posted by Blake Baggett, as the 2:02.411 turned by the Rocky Mountain ATV-MC/WPS/KTM rider was just 0.063 seconds quicker than Eli Tomac’s 2:02.474.
