After a one-week break, the 2018 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship begins its final run of races for the summer with round ten, the 2018 Unadilla Motocross. Few parcels of land have the history of Unadilla, as the New York venue has hosted decades of motocross events ranging from the Nationals to the Trans-Ams to the Motocross des Nations, and that tradition will continue this weekend when racers hit the track.
There are a number of features that make Unadilla challenging. First is the dark rocky dirt that develops countless ruts that run the full length of the course. If the footpeg-deep ditches weren’t enough, there are the technical obstacles like the Gravity Cavity, the Sky Shot, and Screw U, which is now known as The Wall. Riders that are able to link a perfect lap together against these challenges are greatly rewarded.
