After a weekend away, the 2019 Monster Energy Supercross Series is set to return to Southern California for a second visit to Angel Stadium of Anaheim. The 2019 Anaheim Two Supercross will serve both as round three of the championship and the first round to run the Triple Crown event format, which will make for a very interesting day of racing.
Weather reports call for inches of rain to hit Orange County through the week, but Dirt Wurx made the quick trip from Arizona back to Anaheim on Sunday and got the majority of the track built before the big storms came through. On a positive note, the forecast for Saturday is for sunshine and mid-70-degree temperatures, so that’s one less thing for riders, teams, and fans to worry about.
The design for Anaheim Two is quite different than Anaheim One, thanks to plans for a sandy turn, shorter lanes on the first-base side of the stadium, longer rhythms on the third-base side, and a pad of whoops just before the finish line.
