When it comes to motocross gear, there have never been more options for materials, colors, styles, and innovative features. It's no secret that we all enjoy having choices, but with so many ways to go, it can be overwhelming to try to pick. Further complicating things is the fact that gear sales have moved online, and it can be tricky trying to locating a set that has piqued your interest to put your hands on before you buy. Luckily for you, we get to test out nearly every offering each year and become familiar with what works and what doesn't, both in function and in fashion. After spending some time in the latest threads on the market, we collected some of the more popular premium items from a variety of brands to help make choosing your next set easier.

FLY RACING F2 MIPS HELMET | $299.95
FIT | TRUE TO SIZE, NO PRESSURE POINTS

Redesigned for the new year, the FLY Racing F2 has a new look but retains the features that have made it one of the most popular helmets in off-road motorcycling. The one-piece tri-composite carbon fiber shell covers the helmet-integrated, low-friction layer MIPS layer that reduces rotational motion transferred to the brain from angled impacts and dual-density EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) liner, while the rider’s head is kept comfortable with the removable and washable COOLMAX® comfort liner. The F2 comes in six sizes, from Extra Small to Extra, Extra Large and nine colors.

100% RACECRAFT GOGGLES | $75
FIT | LARGE FRAME, NO ISSUES FITTING INTO MOST HELMETS

With a flexible outrigger-equipped frame that retains a Lexan lens via nine retention points, the 100% Racecraft goggles have become some of the most popular goggles in motocross. Riders are attracted to the stylish designs and prints on the frame and strap, while multi-layer foam offers comfort and absorbs sweat without issue.

FLY RACING LITE HYDROGEN JERSEY | $49.95
FIT | ATHLETIC & TIGHT CUT, BUT TRUE TO SIZE (MEDIUM FITS LIKE MEDIUM)

The Lite Hydrogen jersey is FLY Racing’s take on lightweight, unrestrictive gear that allows a rider maximum performance. The polyester fabric is cut into an athletic shape and is printed with vibrant sublimated graphics, while mesh material and laser-cut holes in the material allows heat to dissipate off the rider’s body. The Lite Hydrogen jersey is offered in five sizes, from Small to Extra, Extra Large and six colors.

FLY RACING LITE GLOVE | $21.95
FIT | SOFT MATERIAL, UNRESTRICTIVE MOVEMENT, TRUE TO SIZE (MEDIUM FITS LIKE MEDIUM)

The Lite glove follows the trend of minimalistic gloves that allow direct contact with the controls of the motorcycle. The Lite glove is void of any padding on the top portion, has a single-layer Clarino palm with small holes that flow air to the hand, and silicone material on the fingertips to grip the levers. The Lite glove is offered in ten sizes and five colors.

FLY RACING LITE HYDROGEN PANTS | $169.95
FIT | ATHLETIC & TIGHT CUT, BUT TRUE TO SIZE (32 FITS LIKE 32)

Like the matching jersey, the Lite Hydrogen pant is designed for a full range of movement while keeping weight at a minimum. A durable polyester material stretches along with the rider’s body position and leather knee panels prevent burns from hot exhausts, all of which is held together with Kevlar stitching and assembled into a pre-curved “attack” position. 2019 marks the first time that FLY Racing has implemented the BOA fitment system on the Lite Hydrogen line, as a rider can perfect the fit of the pant with a simple turn of the dial. The Lite Hydrogen is offered in seven sizes from 28 to 38 and six colors.

FLY RACING FR5 BOOTS | $269.95
FIT | SOFT INTERIOR, UNRESTRICTIVE MOVEMENT, TRUE TO SIZE (10 FITS LIKE 10)

Designed for the "mid-range" market, the all-new FLY Racing FR5 boot boasts a number of "high-end" features including a dual hinge on the inside and outside of the ankle for support, contoured TPU pieces that protect the lower leg and foot from impact and unexpected energy, aluminum buckles that tailor the fit and secure the closure, and rubber outer soles that withstand abuse. The rubber pieces that make contact with the motorcycle frame offered plenty of grip and the boots have CE approval to EN13634:2015 standards. The FR5 boot is offered in seven sizes from 7 to 13 and four colors.
