More news for the Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GoPro/KTM team. Yesterday Jordon Smith announced the news of his deal with the team for 2017 (more on that in this interview) and today Alex Martin did the same with a post on Instagram.
2016 was a breakout year for Martin, as he joined the Yamalube/Star Racing/Yamaha team for a one-year deal and then posted career-best results. The veteran racer stood on the top step of the podium a handful of times during the 2016 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship and was ranked second overall in the 250 class standings at the end of the season. The twenty-six-year-old took that momentum to the 2016 Motocross of Nations, where he represented Team USA in the MX2 class, and helped the team take third overall at the international event.
Martin is currently slated to work with mechanic Jordan Troxell for the 2017 season.
