We have received word that the folks behind the Barn Pros/Home Depot/Yamaha team have made the decision to step back from racing in 2018. Since 2014, Barn Pros Racing has been building their race team and have become a notable name in the pits. Last year the team fielded Chris Alldredge and Scott Champion in the West Coast series. Their decision to take the 2018 season off reportedly comes from some delays in the necessary preparations to go racing and secure enough finances.

While the decision means that there will not be a Barn Pros Racing rig in the pits this upcoming Monster Energy Supercross season, this does not mark the end of the team. It is expected that the time away from racing next year will be spent building a solid effort for 2019 and beyond, and there is always a possibility of some limited involvement next year.

We will keep this story updated as new details emerge.
