Weston Peick has shown all season long that he has the speed to run with that pack, and this past weekend in Salt Lake City, he did just that. The privateer from Wildomar, California, spent a the bulk of the heat race battling with Justin Brayton for fifth place, a position he eventually claimed, and carried the speed to a respectable ninth place finish in the main event. With the help of his many sponsors, Peick has traveled the entire Monster Energy Supercross series on his own and has shown improvement each weekend. Just before last weekend’s impressive ride, we headed out to the Supercross track at The Ranch to film Weston put in a day’s work and talk about the challenges of following the pro tour as an independent and his goals of landing a factory ride.
