Almost every motocross racer in the world dreams of racing on American shores. But for many contesting the FIM Grand Prix Motocross Championship, the varying travel schedules, cost of shipping materials, and the time required to come to the States for a round is simply unfeasible. The original GP schedule called for two weeks of racing in South America, Brazil and Mexico, but when the Mexican round of the series was cancelled, the Rockstar Energy Suzuki team figured now was as good a time as ever to race the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. With the assistance of the Rockstar Energy Racing team, Clement Desalle and Kevin Strijbos outfitted a pair of race bikes with their personal parts and lined up for Thunder Valley. Their American vacation continues this weekend at Tennessee’s Muddy Creek, and then both will head back across the Atlantic for the remaining rounds of the MX1 GP championship.
