Over the weekend Dylan Ferrandis announced that he had signed a contract extension with the Monster Energy/Yamalube/Star/Yamaha Factory Racing team that will keep him in the United States for two more years. The initial contract between the rider and team was set to expire at the end of 2018, but this new deal will keep the French rider on a factory supported YZ250F through 2020. Ferrandis is currently sidelined due to arm injuries sustained in a crash at the 2018 Atlanta Supercross, but is expected to be on the starting line at some point in the 2018 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship.

This is not the only long-term extension that Star Racing has inked with a rider in recent months, as Colt Nichols signed a similar deal that will run through 2020.
