MX Sports have released the provisional entry lists for the 2018 Unadilla Motocross, round ten of the 2018 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, and the 450 class line up includes Jason Anderson. The Rockstar Energy Racing Husqvarna rider has been sidelined with a compound fracture to his right foot after a run-in with another rider during a public track practice day in late May, an injury which required surgery and a recovery period of nearly the entire summer.
UPDATE AUGUST 9TH 2018 | Racer X Online is reporting that although Anderson is on the entry list for this weekend, Team Manager Bobby Hewitt has told them that Anderson WILL NOT be on the track at Unadilla. So yeah, disregard our initial post.
In the days following the injury, Anderson and the team expressed intentions to be back on the starting line for the final rounds of the summer series, partly in hopes of earning a nod to be picked as a member of Team USA for the 2018 Motocross of Nations (the team will be announced this Saturday and it sounds that despite Anderson’s efforts, he will not be a part of the three-rider field).
Anderson also posted on Instagram that he has just a few days of riding to his credit since the injury and has modest expectations with a caption that read, “4 days of riding and already itching to be back on the gate. I will probably get my ass kicked with my 2 month vacation.. but you might see me out there….. maybe.”
Anderson was on the line for the Hangtown and Glen Helen rounds at the start of the summer, which saw him post 4-6 (Hangtown) and 4-2 (Glen Helen) finishes through the four motos.
