While practicing at a test track today in Southern California, Jessy Nelson suffered a serious crash and was taken away in an ambulance. According to our sources, the Troy Lee Designs/GoPro/Red Bull/KTM rider went down while blitzing across a whoop section.

Just moments ago, the team posted this update to their Instagram account, @tld_moto

TLD's @jessynelson13 had a high speed get off today while practicing for this weekends SX race in San Diego. Following the crash Jessy was immediately taken to the hospital for further evaluation. Thankfully at this point his MRI and CT scans show no serious injuries. Nelson will spend the night in the hospital to further monitor his condition. We wish Jessy a speedy recovery and hope to see him back in action soon.

This is horrible news for all involved, especially Nelson, who is coming off of a second place finish at the opening round of the 2016 Monster Energy Supercross 250 West Coast Series.

We wish Nelson a speedy recovery and will post more information as it becomes available.
