San Diego, CA – An impressive line up of top KTM Factory riders awaits the first-ever Navy Moto-X World Championships to be held April 12-13, 2008 at Qualcomm Stadium.
The Supermoto Final kicks off the weekend starting Saturday at 11:30am. HMC KTM Factory riders Troy Herfoss and Chris Fillmore will compete in the Supermoto Final along with their boss, KTM’s Director of Racing, and the 2004 and 2005 Supermoto Unlimited Champion Kurt Nicoll.
Flying in from his hometown of Payerne, Switzerland, KTM Factory Freestyle rider Mat Rebeaud has brought his A-game and is ready to compete in the popular Best Trick contest. Rebeaud will also contend in Saturday’s Speed and Style Final and Sunday’s Freestyle Final. Joining him in both the Speed and Style and Freestyle Final is his teammate KTM Factory Freestyle rider Ronnie Renner. The energetic, crowd-pleasing freestyle master will also return to defend his X-Games 13 Step-Up Gold Medal.
KTM has two riders competing in the Moto-X Racing event: MDK KTM Factory Team rider Nick Wey and MDK KTM West Lites Team rider Justin Brayton. Wey will arrive on a red-eye flight from the Detroit Supercross in order to make it to San Diego on time for the gate drop of the Moto-X Race while Brayton will make the easy commute from his hometown in Murrieta, CA. Both riders will compete aboard KTM 450SX-F race machines.
