That was fast. Less than a week after announcing a decision to leave the Blue Buffalo/Slater Skins/Yamaha team, Kyle Cunningham has found new employment with the Energy/Toyota/JGRMX/Suzuki team. The deal comes at an important time for both groups, because Cunningham has changed his plans multiple times over the last few months (planned to be a privateer Husqvarna rider in the 450 class, then took 250 ride with Blue Buffalo/Slater Skins/Yamaha) and the JGRMX team needs replacement riders due to injuries on their original roster. The team made the announcement in their Toronto post-race press release.

Matt Bisceglia was set to race the 250 East Coast SX region until multiple legs injuries sent him to the sidelines for an unspecified time. JGRMX then signed North Carolina’s Kyle Peters to run the opening rounds of the series, but it’s time for him to head to Australia for a signed contract with Suzuki to race their MX and SX championships.

With this, Cunningham will start his short tenure with the team this weekend in Daytona. Cunningham raced in 2016 with the Motorcycle Superstore Suzuki racing team, which ceased operations in the offseason.
