(San Diego, CA) – The 2013 AMA Monster Energy Supercross series headed to the Pacific Northwest this past weekend for round 15.  There was rain in the forecast and Century Link Field's open-air stadium set the stage for an unpredictable night of racing. When the track was uncovered in the afternoon just prior to practice it wasn't in too bad of shape; but, as the rain continued to fall on and off throughout the day, slick conditions, muddy corners, and deep ruts soon materialized.

For the second week in a row ONE Industries and Rockstar Energy Racing rider Davi Millsaps got the holeshot in his heat race. He turned in the fastest lap time of heat one, finishing almost three seconds ahead of Barcia in second; this was his seventh heat race win of the season.  In the 450 Main, Millsaps got a decent start and by the end of the first lap was holding down the fourth spot. Near the end of lap three, Millsaps made a move on Alessi through the whoops, a section he's known to be so dominant in, to take over third.  Millsaps put in a solid performance and left Seattle with a third place finish.  Millsaps now has ten podium finishes in the 2013 season and reclaimed second overall in the 450 Championship.

ONE Industries and JGR Yamaha rider Justin Brayton had a great heat race. Mid-race, Brayton and Weimer were battling for third; with two laps to go Brayton managed to get around him and took the third place finish. In the 450 Main, Brayton was eighth off the line. He slipped back a few spots to tenth, but was able to move past a couple of riders up to seventh with two laps to go. One the following lap, Brayton unfortunately went down in a deep rut; by the time he got back on his bike he had lost a position and ultimately ended his night in eighth.  Justin Brayton sits inside the top ten overall in points in ninth place.

After an eight-week break the 250 West riders, which include ONE Industries and Rockstar Energy Racing teammates Jason Anderson and Ryan Sipes, resumed their battle for the Championship in the Emerald City.  In the 250 Main, Ryan Sipes got a good start and was sitting in fourth after the first lap.  Throughout the race Sipes battled with several riders for top five spots. Despite riding with a wrist brace on each hand as he continues to recover from a previous injury, Sipes rode his way to a seventh place finish.  Jason Anderson suffered from a bad start in the 250 Main and was stuck mid-pack throughout the race, ultimately finishing up in tenth.

ONE Industries privateer Cody Gilmore made his first 450 Main of the 2013 season.

The series heads to Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, UT next weekend. With another open-air venue hosting the event, the weather may once again set the stage for another unpredictable night of racing.
