Practice has finished up here in Red Buuuud and there were a few surprises. First and foremost, despite the perfect weather, the track was a little sloppy the first time out. However, in the second go around, things shaped up and riders were able to hit their groove. In the 450 Class, Ryan Dungey once again topped the charts, beating out Chad Reed and Brett Metcalfe by nearly two seconds. For 250 Class qualifying, the pleasant surprise was Tyla Rattray taking the pole with his 2:18.65, just a hair in fron of his teammate Christophe Pourcel. Justin Barcia rounded out the top three, which is impressive following a first practice crash after coming up short on LaRocco’s Leap.
