Monster Energy Leading Edge Kawasaki partners with Smith Optics for the 2011 Canadian Motocross Season

Kamloops, British Columbia(February 23, 2011) Monster Energy Leading Edge Kawasaki, the official team of Canadian Kawasaki Motors’ Canadian motocross efforts and winners of the 2009 CMRC MX2 Championship are pleased to announce their partnership with Smith Optics for the 2011 Canadian MX season.

One of the premiere brands in the sport, Smith will be keeping the team outfitted with their high quality and stylish goggles, sunglasses and grips. Representing the Smith brand on the track and at the races will be the returning 2009 MX2 champion, Teddy Maier, who will be jumping up to the premiere MX1 class for 2011. Joining him on the 450 will be former AMA National winner, Matt Goerke while popular Canadian and two-time MX2 National winner, Kyle Beaton will be spearheading the team’s MX2 effort. The team will also be adding a second MX2 rider to be named shortly.
