Another rider has confirmed their participation in the 2017 TransWorld Motocross SLAM Pro Race. Team Honda HRC rider Toshiki Tomita will line up against the field of competitors on a CRF450R in hopes of claiming top honors. The 2015 All Japan IA2 National Championship winner spent the summer racing the 2017 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship in the 450 class and scored points in multiple motos. Will he take a chunk of the purse money back to Japan with him?

There are a few key changes to this year's running of the exciting pro race, with the most important being the doubling of the purse to $10,000! In addition to this, racers will compete on Milestone’s main MX track (not Supercross) in two five-lap sprint motos. A special, pro-only section will be incorporated for the SLAM Pro race. The race is open to all professional racers who would like to enter. A timed practice session at the start of the event will serve as a qualifier for the top-10 fastest riders, who will fill the starting gate in the two championship motos. A traditional scoring system will be used to determine overall finishing positions after the two motos. First place will take home $5000 and the highly coveted TransWorld SLAM Champion Belt. Second place will earn $3000, and the third and final podium position will go home with an impressive $2000.

Toshiki Tomita’s effort is backed by Team Honda HRC, Dunlop, SHIFT MX, Arai, and Colors Designs.
