You were out at the Slam yesterday, did you enjoy the day?
Yes, I was here since Saturday morning and I rode every time the track was open since I got here. This is my first moto race too! First moto ever.
Oh really? What brought you out here today for your moto debut? How did you like the track?
One of my good friends Kortel, but we call him Korta T, told me I might as well just try to get my foot in the door. I loved the track, I thought I did pretty good today. I crashed in my first race in the first turn, but I got up and continued racing.
How did you prepare for your first moto today? Did you do any special training prior to today?
Yesterday I came to learn the track because they switched the track around. I rode the track, got a couple laps in, chilled for a minute, and then got some more laps in. For training, I did a little bit of cardio and weightlifting.
Why did you choose motocross?
I just wanted to try something new and I really like it! I think I am going to stick with it.
Before your first moto today were you ever interested in racing motocross before? Did you go to other TransWorld races or Supercross?
I would go to Supercross and I come out for the TransWorld Slam Fest, but I never thought that I was going to end up racing.
Being an observer of motocross, what did you find most interesting to watch?
People’s starts and the way they followed their lines.
Tell me about your bike and why you chose it, and what have you done to make it work well for you.
It is a 2006 CRF 450R, the only thing I changed is the oil, transmission fluid, and grips. Nothing mainly, it was already like this when I bought it.
Can you tell me more about your sponsor Bikes Over Bang’N?
It’s a non-profit that gets kids from the inner city and teaches them how to ride to keep them off the streets and their heads in the books. You can check them out at www.bikesoverbangn.com
Today is the last day of the Terra Firma series, can we be expecting you at the Fall Classic?
Yes, I’ll see you there!
