When a Kawasaki KX500 found its way to Tyler Bowers, the racer completely restored it to factory-level race-ready condition. The initial plan was to race the bike at the 2018 Red Bull Straight Rhythm, but a hand injury at the 2018 Monster Energy Cup kept that from happening. Still eager to show off the build, we grabbed a few minutes with Bowers at the track to hear about all of the work that went into “The Unit.”

This bike is no garage showpiece because Bowers has used for practice recently at Supercross tracks in Southern California.
