The 2018 TransWorld Motocross SLAM Festival is only a few days away and we’re happy to confirm that 2017 Pro Race champion Tyler Bowers will return to the starting line for another year. Bowers bested the competition in the 2017 running of the SLAM Pro Race and took the $5000 purse and SLAM trophy belt for his efforts, a win that put him alongside past victors Wil Hahn, Justin Bogle, Matt Goerke, Vince Friese, and Josh Hill.

After a summer testing with the Monster Energy Kawasaki crew, he’s ready to get back on the track and bang bars with other riders. “I’m really excited for the 2018 SLAM Fest. I had such a great time last year and was able to bring home the win,” he told us in a confirmation message on Tuesday. “I’m looking forward to defending the SLAM title belt this weekend!” Bowers will be aboard a Kawasaki KX450 against a roster of riders that is set to include Alex Ray, Gared Steinke, Tyler Enticknap, and others.

For the last decade or so we've taken over a Southern California track, invited the industry to set up shop on a vendors row, and covered the entry fee for riders for a day fill of two-wheel fun. This year we're going back to Milestone MX Park in Riverside, California, and prepping every MX track for the hundreds of riders that'll spin laps with their friends and take advantage of the deals offered by the biggest brands in moto. At a certain point, we'll have to clear everyone off of the Main Track and get things ready for a no-holds-barred battle with the SLAM Pro Race that'll pay the winner of the motos a very nice sum of money. If you have the need for speed in your system, line up with us for a night of low-speeds and left turns on the flat track!
