Unless you tie up the Team Honda Muscle Milk staff and ransack their trailer, it’ll be nearly impossible to acquire many of the parts on Trey Canard’s 2013 Honda CRF450R. Since the 70s, when they began making a push in the motocross racing circuit, the Japanese race team has become known for their one-off parts and priceless bikes. The all-white Mugen 125 Johnny O’Mara piloted, the handmade tanks, engines, and chassis of HRC’s 80s heyday, and Jeremy McGrath’s 93-96 250, which weighed less than a CR125, are all part of the brand’s legacy. The craftsmanship continues with their all-new 450. We recently got time to talk with Brent Presnell, longtime mechanic to Trey Canard, about the bike and its rider.
