“The Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship headed to the home of the Martin brothers for round eight in Millville, Minnesota, and what a blur of a weekend it was!  Travel was pretty interesting this weekend if you decided to fly in later on Friday evening with a crazy storm blowing through Minneapolis.  My flights were delayed all day and I actually had to change my original flight at the airport so I would make it to Minnesota on Friday instead of noon on Saturday.  Everything worked out, though, until we flew into Minneapolis and encountered the storm and had to fly above it and circle the city for well over an hour.  By the time I landed it was 2 am and most of the rental car places were closed, but I managed to find one and get on my way to Rochester, which was over an hour away.  I finally arrived at my hotel around 5:00 am before having to wake up at 7:30 am to head to the course, and I knew I was in for an interesting day with my very limited amount of sleep.  It was definitely one of the hottest rounds this year, which made it very challenging for everyone including us media members and track workers running around the course all day.  The Spring Creek track gets its name from the small creek running through the property and there were a lot of people cooling off in the water all day long.  We’re heading west this weekend to Washougal with some of the most picturesque landscapes on the circuit that always provides for some good imagery.  Enjoy the Bangers!” —TWMX photographer Ryne Swanberg
